Shipping

Domestic Shipping (Japan)

We ship throughout Japan using trusted delivery partners, including Yamato Transport and other carriers where appropriate.

Orders are typically dispatched within four business days of payment confirmation. During busy periods or unforeseen circumstances, processing may take slightly longer.

If your order is time-sensitive, please contact us at contact@jdcshop.jp and include your order number. We will do our best to assist.

Shipping Rates

  • Orders over ¥8,000 qualify for free shipping within Japan.

  • Standard shipping rates generally range from ¥500–¥1,000 within mainland Japan (Honshu).

  • Shipping to Hokkaido is typically ¥2,000.

  • Shipping to Okinawa is typically ¥3,000.

  • Small orders (up to two tea towels) may qualify for reduced shipping rates.

  • Additional charges may apply for unusually large or bulky orders.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

International Shipping

We currently ship to a selection of international destinations, including Australia, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and many European countries.

Please note that any import duties, customs charges, VAT, GST, or other local taxes imposed by the destination country are the responsibility of the customer.

Returns & Exchanges

If you receive an incorrect or defective item, please contact us at contact@jdcshop.jp within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate. Where the error or defect is our responsibility, return shipping costs will be covered by Japan Design Collective.

For returns requested for reasons other than an error on our part, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. Return shipping costs and any applicable transaction or handling fees will be the responsibility of the customer.

Returns and Exchanges Cannot Be Accepted If:

  • More than 7 days have passed since delivery.

  • The product has been used, damaged, soiled, or lost after delivery.

  • The product has been damaged due to reasons not attributable to Japan Design Collective.
